Colposcopy is a method of examination of patients with cervical pathology. The essence of the method is to examine and revise the condition of the epithelium of the cervix and vagina when magnified by a microscope by 7-28 or more times. This method allows you to identify the lesion, differentiate benign and malignant changes, identify neoplasms of the cervix and latent inflammation.
The procedure is effective in cases of suspected malignant, benign and inflammatory changes of the cervix.
The procedure is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to iodine.
