The survey includes:
Rules of preparation for diagnostic tests
Blood test (clinical):
Blood for laboratory tests is given in the morning strictly on an empty stomach.
In the morning it is necessary to refrain from smoking. The day before the study, stop drinking alcohol.
Blood test (biochemical):
To take a blood test for cholesterol and lipid spectrum, it is necessary to start fasting 12 hours before the study. A hypocholesterolemic diet should be followed for three days before the study.
To accurately determine the level of uric acid, it is necessary to limit the intake of meat, fish, coffee and tea in the diet.
Three days before the study, stop eating foods rich in purines (liver, kidneys).
Blood test for hormones:
Blood for sex hormones for women is given strictly on the days of the menstrual cycle.:
• Progesterone — 20-23 days of the cycle.
• Testosterone, prolactin — do not depend on the day of the cycle.
• TTG, svT3, svT4, – recommendations of a specialist
3 days before the testosterone test in men, it is necessary to exclude the use of drugs that increase potency (Viagra, etc.).
General urinalysis:
On the eve of the test, it is recommended not to eat vegetables and fruits that can change the color of urine (beets, carrots, etc.), and not to take diuretics.
A hygienic toilet of the genitals should be performed before collecting urine. Women are not recommended to take a urine test during menstruation. Urine is collected in a dry, clean container with free urination, including the initial (first) portion.
An average portion of urine is collected for analysis on Nechiporenko's sample.
Ultrasound examination (ultrasound):
Ultrasound of the abdominal organs (gallbladder, pancreas, liver, spleen, kidneys, abdominal aorta) is performed on an empty stomach.
1-2 days before the study, it is advisable to exclude gas-forming foods from the diet. If the patient has diabetes, a light breakfast (breadcrumbs, warm tea) is acceptable. If the patient is prone to gas formation and is overweight, it is recommended to take activated charcoal 2-3 days before the study (2 tablets 3-4 times a day).
Ultrasound of the pelvic organs (uterus, ovaries):
• Transvaginally (through the vagina) – without preparation.
• Transabdominally (through the abdominal wall)
To obtain a clear image during transabdominal ultrasound, it is necessary to drink 1-2 liters of non-carbonated water 1.5-2 hours before the study.
Ultrasound of the prostate gland (transrectal):
Since this ultrasound scan is performed through the rectum, it must be cleaned. To do this, 2 hours before the study, you need to make a 200 ml microclyster with plain water using a special pear (syringe), and then empty the intestines. 1 hour before the examination, drink 1 liter of non-carbonated water so that the volume of residual urine can be determined during the ultrasound of the prostate gland.
Ultrasound of the thyroid gland, mammary glands, and kidneys is performed without special training.
Attention! It is necessary to wear a change of shoes (shoe covers) for all studies.
