Staraya Russa AMAKS Resort is the oldest balneological resort in Russia. Combining centuries-old healing traditions, a modern medical base and a well-developed infrastructure.
The main advantages of the resort are its unique natural resources and a well—thought-out recreation environment. The sulfide-silt mud "Old Russian", which has medicinal properties not inferior to European analogues, and mineral magnesium-calcium-sodium waters used for drinking, baths and irrigation. The territory of about 60 hectares has its own beach on a mineral lake, an aquatic center with pools, mud and hydrotherapy facilities, as well as comfortable buildings, including the new premium Graf Muravyov building and the Ayurvedic Retreat and SPA complex with practices of deep restoration of mental health. For a relaxing holiday with the whole family, the resort has a restobar "Varnitsa" with original dishes and cocktails, a children's space, its own cinema, a modern concert hall, a mini zoo and a rope park.
The main healing properties of the resort are aimed at restoring the body in diseases of the digestive system, musculoskeletal system, nervous system, skin, metabolic disorders and restoring mental health. Local mud and mineral waters are especially effective for gastritis, arthritis, osteochondrosis, psoriasis, and chronic bronchitis, as well as helping to relieve stress and strengthen the immune system. A separate area is working with psychosomatics within the framework of wellness programs: soft body and breathing practices, relaxation techniques and spa rituals help to relieve accumulated tension, restore emotional balance and improve the quality of sleep. Treatment programs are designed individually, and the daily complex of procedures is complemented by walks along the alleys and the clean air of the relict park.
