Vortex foot baths are hydrotherapy procedures in which the temperature and hydrostatic factor of conventional baths is enhanced by the monotonous movement of water in the bath (turbulence). During the procedure, the patient's legs are knee-deep in a special bath, on the walls of which there are holes. Jets of water come out of these holes, making the water in the bathroom boil. The water temperature is 36-37 degrees. The procedure allows you to achieve maximum recovery of the muscular system and joints of the legs. Baths help to improve blood circulation, have an analgesic effect, contribute to improving the overall performance of the body.
The procedure is effective in the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system; diseases of the nervous system (autonomic polyneuropathies); endocrine diseases (diabetes mellitus); diseases of the musculoskeletal system; respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic pneumonia); digestive diseases (chronic gastritis, gallbladder dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis, dyskinetic constipation).
Therapy is contraindicated in hypertension of the III stages; coronary heart disease; angina pectoris of the III FC; cardiac arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, frequent ventricular extrasystole, atrioventricular block); thrombophlebitis; malignant neoplasms; progressive glaucoma.
