Medium–wave ultraviolet radiation (SUF) is a treatment method with a pronounced and versatile biological effect. During therapy, the patient is positioned in a comfortable position for him. The duration of the procedure is individual and depends on the bioadose prescribed by the doctor. As a result of exposure to radiation, biologically active substances are released, and blood circulation improves.
The procedure is effective in the treatment of certain forms of arthritis; diseases of the peripheral nervous system (neuritis, neuralgia, sciatica); muscular (myositis), respiratory (bronchitis, pleurisy) systems; skin and gynecological diseases. The desensitizing effect of ultraviolet irradiation is used in the treatment of arthritis of allergic origin, bronchial asthma (in the intercalative period), with a tendency to colds, bronchitis, laryngitis.
Therapy is contraindicated in the active form of pulmonary tuberculosis, malignant neoplasms, heart, kidney failure, hypertension II — III degree, severe exhaustion, increased thyroid function, systemic lupus erythematosus, malaria, as well as with increased sensitivity to light.
